Both albums, Adam Cayton-Holland “I Don’t Know If I Happy” and Andrew Orvedahl “Hit the Dick Lights” are officially released TODAY! Do us a favor and pick up a copy wherever albums are sold. The CD is available at your neighborhood record store (if not, please ask them to order it). The album is available digitally through Itunes, Amazon, Spotify, and the other usual suspects. And we are still selling copies of the album on CD with digital download and a baseball card (while supplies last). Below are the links that you should use to pick up each album. Huffington Post Denver just posted an interview with Adam Cayton-Holland and Andrew Orvedahl; both Adam and Andrew have new albums coming out on Illegal Pete’s/Greater Than Tomorrow, May 14th. And if you live in or new Denver, both Adam and Andrew are performing at an In-Store at Twist and Shout TODAY at 6pm. Our friends at Great Divide are donating a keg of Heyday so bring your I.D. and enjoy some free beers during the show. And tomorrow, Andrew Orvedahl, will be celebrating the release of his album at Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret with a bunch of comedians telling his jokes (Adam Cayton-Holland, Ben Roy, Sam Tallent, Josh Blue, Mara Wiles, Chuck Roy, Ian Douglas Terry, Jim Hickox, Kristin Rand, plus a few more.) and bands, The Big Get Even and The Spells performing. Back in December, Adam and Andrew, recorded 2 nights of shows at the Bug Theater, and took their favorite material from the performances to make up these 2 albums. “I Don’t Know If I Happy” and “Hit the Dick Lights” are brand new albums by Adam Cayton-Holland and Andrew Orvedahl. The albums are now available for Pre-order. Pre-ordering the albums gets you an automatic digital download of each respective album and for a short time, we will be sending out pre-orders of the CD with Adam and Andrew’s baseball cards.

Pre-orders will be sent out in early May.

Lucero Eat and Greet at Illegal Pete's April 18th to be recorded/pressed onto limited edition 7"s

Lucero Eat and Greet at Illegal Pete’s April 18th to be recorded/pressed onto limited edition 7”s (RSVP here)

We are so excited to announce that Lucero will again be doing an Eat and Greet performance at Illegal Pete’s. While we’ve had the guys play Pete’s before, we have been working to make this the most memorable Eat and Greet yet.

On Thursday, April 18th at 2pm, the members of Lucero will descend upon Illegal Pete’s Downtown (1530 16th St) for a very special acoustic performance. This performance will be recorded and 2 of the songs from the performance will be cut onto an Extremely LIMITED EDITION 7” by our friends at Meep Records. Only 50 copies will be pressed and of those 50 copies, 15 will be available for Lucero fans to win. No copies will be sold!

In order to win one of these 7” records, you MUST hold a ticket to ALL 3 Denver shows. Tickets can be purchased here. The good folks at AEG will provide us with a list of all of three show ticket holders. As long as you purchase your tickets in advance prior to April 18th, your name will automatically be entered to win a copy of this Limited Edition record. The winners will be randomly selected, contacted via email, and the winners will be able to pick up the rare record at the Lucero merch booth (Friday and Saturday night).

The 7”s will be hand cut on a lathe Thursday night and Friday day. This will very likely be the rarest of rare Lucero records. Winners of these 7”s will have some serious bragging rights.

So make sure you come down to our Eat and Greet with Lucero on Thursday, April 18th at 2pm, and make sure you have purchased tickets to all 3 nights. Good luck!

Illegal Pete’s Launches ‘Smother Autism’ Campaign To Support The Joshua School [Huffington Post]

Smother Autism begins TODAY at all 5 Illegal Pete’s locations. April is Autism Awareness Month and we raise funds all month long to support the Joshua School and their efforts to help children with Autism Spectrum disorders.

Smother your burrito all month long and we will donate $1.00 to the Joshua School. Purchase a leaf at one of our restaurants and all of the proceeds to go benefit the Joshua School. And lastly, if you place an order online or through our mobile app, you can round up your order to donate directly to the Joshua School.
